Extreme Theme Change?

Have you ever gone to the extreme when changing your site's theme? Did it go over well and do you still use it?

I wanted to change my theme for my craft forum, but I've gotten really lazy with it. It has a lot of gradients and to change the color scheme is going to be a ton of work to complete. It will look awesome in the end though.

Which community platform do you use?

I have in the past changed my forums theme to something like a premium theme and it went down well with the members and was easy for me to do once I had bought the theme.

In terms of changing the theme up myself by editing the default theme, this is something I have not been able to do at the moment and I am still learning a lot about that.

I always tend to extremely change the theme itself because default one is just not good enough
